Add Facebook Events to your Android Calendar

On this post, we wanted to share with you how to add Facebook events on to your Android device. We do have the steps on our app but wanted to share you with you some visual steps on how to add them.

Facebook no longer allows third-party apps to directly sync Facebook birthdays. You can still access Facebook birthdays and events by configuring your Google calendar to import Facebook events.

You will need to access your Facebook account on a desktop browser, unlike on an iPhone you cannot just Request Desktop Site. In the top right-hand corner find the question mark symbol which is next to the arrow symbol. Type into the search section “export events”, you will see a list of options as an answer. You need to click on “How do I export events or friends’ birthdays? then follow these instructions.

When on the Events page, right-click the Upcoming Events link. 

In another tab on your laptop open Google Calendar. In the bottom left-hand corner, you will see “Other calendars”, click on the bottom arrow to then find “Add by URL”. Paste the “Upcoming Events” or “Birthdays” link. Then click Add Calendar and you will see a message on the screen saying Calendar was imported successfully.
