Disneyland Ride and Attraction Updates
It’s been a while since our last Disneyland themed blog post. A lot has changed for the parks in the last year or so and a lot more planned for both Disney World and Disneyland Paris. If you are just here for the photos, then we have linked a lot of great images from Disney Instagram. Read on to find out more.
Disney World and all US Parks
In our last post about Disney World changes, we mentioned a lot of plans for the parks that came from Disney 23 Expo. A lot has changed since those plans were put forward and great progress has been made. Something we didn’t mention in that post was the addition to a Pixar Pier arriving at Disneyland Resort. Not only will there be food stands on the pier centred around popular Pixar characters, but a carousel ride called Jessie’s Critter Carousel. You can saddle up with up to 56 different friends on the ride. Food stands will include Senor Buzz Churros, Poultry Palace, Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats and Angry Dogs. Pixar Pier will make it’s way to Disney California Adventure on June 23.
In addition to Pixar Pier, D23 announced the arrival of Toy Story Land and recently the launch date was announced. Set your countdown events to June 30, 2018. So you are probably a lot more curious about what to expect so far. If you follow Disney on Instagram then you might have already seen the photos for Slinky Dog Dash a new thrilling ride for all ages. You ride in Slinky Dog who takes you on a ride around curves, hills and drops. If you love the aliens in Toy Story then you might enjoy the Alien Swirling Saucers ride. Jump on the ride to be taken on an adventure in a toy rocket.
Rides which are still in production are the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge which is set to debut in 2019 at Walt Disney World. There was a sneak peak video posted on Twitter check it out below. The area looks like it is really taking shape.
Disneyland Paris
It’s been a long time since Disneyland Paris had any new additions to the parks. Something finally is set to arrive in Disneyland Paris soon. They are introducing a few new areas centred around Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars. No news on what they will bring in terms of the changes but we will update as soon as we hear more news about the updates. The developments will roll out in phases from 2021. One thing we do know for sure is that they will be revamping the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will include the addition of Iron Man and his Avengers team.
That is everything we know so far. So maybe it is time to start planning your next adventure to Disneyland very soon. Tag all your Disneyland countdowns with #countdownplus and #countdown.
