Disneyland in 2017

February 10, 2017

It’s 2017 and it is the start of a brand new year, and that means new attractions at Disneyland parks. So we compiled some of the best new events to come to Disneyland parks this year. Since our Disneyland blog posts do really well with a lot you readers.

Star Wars

A big one for the parks is the release of new transformed Star Wars rides. Star Tours are a 3D experience where you can view some of the locations from the actual movies. Great thrilling ride if you like interactive rides. The big one for Star Wars last year was the Launch Bay attraction which we have mentioned in past Disneyland blog posts. It’s a place where you can see some of the memorabilia from the films. Interact with some characters from the films and get some amazing pictures. If you are looking to attend some shows you are in luck, because there is a Star Wars themed show called Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. If you have younger ones they can be pulled onto the stage and be part of the show, shows run quite a few times a day, but check the app or website for more details.

Guardians of the Galaxy

So, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last July that a new ride would be coming to the Disneyland Parks. They closed Tower of Terror in January to make way for a Guardians of the Galaxy ride called, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! So far we have only seen concept art and models of the ride. You will have to wait some more for this ride to come out as it is set for release Summer 2017. The ride is based on the premise that Rocket has escaped captivity, guests then must ride the lift and go on an adventure to find Rocket and break out the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy characters from captivity.

Main Street Electrical Parade

So the main street parade light show is back and is running for a long period of time throughout 2017. Plenty of chances to see the huge light show as it runs until June 18th After a 20-year hiatus from Disneyland Park, it shows you can not miss. With appearances from characters like Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Pete’s Dragon and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Huge floats which will lead by Engineer Goofy, driving the steaming locomotive with Mickey and Minnie aboard. You can also get a dining package if you want to see the show whilst enjoy your meal then you can at the Blue Bayou Restaurant.
