Easter Weekend Breaks
Easter is around the corner and its going to be a long weekend, why not book a cheap getaway with friends or a loved one. Here are our suggestions on where to go.
Brighton
Brighton is great place to go even on a short period of time. With so much to see you are spoilt for choice, we recommend seeing the following places. If you travel by train then make your way down to the lanes in Brighton because are simply magical, so many quirky shops to go and check out. Even if you are not after buying anything, its great to see all the interesting finds in the shops. Why not step into a café along the lanes and get some homemade cake and a cup of tea. The Brighton staple is the fish and chips stands and the mini sugared doughnuts. So take a walk from the lanes to the Brighton Pier. Check out the old school arcades and fun fair rides. If you want to do something a little bit cultural then head to the Brighton Pavilion. There are several rooms to see inside the Brighton Pavilion and an art gallery, so plenty to explore and a great way to spend of your days there.
Edinburgh
Edinburgh has plenty of character, and stunning views. Why not treat yourself to a shopping spree along Princes Street. Then make your way to the steep hell up towards Edinburgh Castle. You can see some remarkable scenes from upon the castle. Plenty of exciting exhibits at the castle as well. So many cute cafes and if you like cats then check out the only cat café in Edinburgh. Edinburgh is known for its tartan scarfs and shortbread biscuits. So don’t forget to go into one of the shops and go home with some souvenirs. Edinburgh lights up at night and is worth seeing the city with all the city lights from just in front of the castle. If you are brave enough then why not try one of the ghost walks in Edinburgh there are a few walks to choose from.
London
Why not stay in London for the weekend? Head into London and stop off for some afternoon tea at the famous Fortnum and Mason. On your way out don’t forget to stock up on some tea and delightful treats for your family and friends. Grab some tickets to a west end musical and maybe a few tickets to a theatre production. There are so many great shows right now so you will be spoilt for choice. Whilst you have some time to kill you can view London by sea and grab a Thames clipper boat.
These are just three suggestions of where you could go this Easter Weekend. What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know on Twitter and Facebook.
